Nightshade's most popular aspect has always been the ability to build and create your own town, complete with a town warp awarded by Nightshade's Staff. We have recently rethought how these towns are assessed and approved for town warps and want to reward the great towns of Nightshade with amazing prizes and higher honor. Part of the revamping of the assessment and approval of the towns, a much more advanced grading structure by server staff.
We have a five tier ranking system for towns to allow continuous growth. As you progress in builds by meeting requirements, you may apply for an increased rank with increased perks. We only ask that while players can qualify for a rank with pretty minimal effort please spend time working towards detailed and enjoyable builds. There are so many block by block building tutorials online - let this be an opportunity for your building skills to grow!
To have a building count as a house, it must be at least 8x8 (preferably larger). It should be somewhat detailed and not just a cube with a roof. 75% of houses within the community should have an active player residing inside of it. (Town Manager should have logs of who lives where in the community). A minimum of a bed, a chest, a furnace and a crafting table is all required for each house.
Each PokéCenter requires at least one PC, one Ender Chest, one Healing Machine and be large enough to be a community center for the town. This should be one of the larger builds in the community.
The PokéMart can be combined with the PokéCenter if preferred however there must be at least one item sold at the shop and that item must be well stocked. Please avoid common items (Please no dirt!).
Staff who have access to creative are except to this requirement to avoid any misuse.
Community Centers is a pretty generic and flexible term that can mean anything from a fountain to a garden or maze. Its intention is to have a marketable and recognizable feature within your builds that people can gather.
The Nurse NPC is a simple scripted NPC that will heal a player's Pokémon inside of a PokéCenter. The NPC adds life and interactivity for the PokéCenter and can only be placed inside of one. There are two options to pick from, a modern nurse and a nurse that would look at home in the Pokémon: Legends of Arceus game.
The Town Warp is simply the ability for players to do /warp [Town Name]
. An admin or above will need to place the town warp and we ask that the town mayor/creator have a place ready to receive players with any special rules for the town.
Given simply to assist in claiming land for future town expansion.

The town mayor/builder is designated to build each gym the town is permitted to have. After the gym is completed, the town can then recruit a player to serve as the town gym leader. Having a strong gym leader will be important for a town to grow in tourism and popularity although having gyms entirely is optional. It is not mandatory that a metropolis have even a single gym.
